About Natural Greenscapes

Lara is the Garden Steward at Seattle Tilth, an organization that educates people to garden organically and conserve natural resources. Most recently, Lara spearheaded the implementation of the expansion of the Pickering Barn Learning Garden (Issaquah). The expansion is an effort to renew the garden with native plant beds, wildlife habitat areas, wetland areas, perennial edibles, vegetable beds and on-site composting.

Lara has successfully passed the Certified Professional Horticulturist (an industry certification by the Washington State Nursery and Landscape Association- WSNLA) exam.

Lara Elizabeth Vyas is the owner and designer of Natural Greenscapes. After a successful career in database technologies, Lara channeled her passion for plants into the world of horticulture and landscape design. She earned her AS degree in Environmental Horticulture and Design from Foothill College, Los Altos Hills, CA in 2004.

Lara has designed several residential landscapes for private clients, each garden customized to suit their desires and lifestyle. As a garden coach, she has trained her clients to plant, prune and maintain their garden sustainably.
